Created by two Montreal brothers, Dorians is a line of healthy snack foods that takes the traditional recipes of their grandmother and gives them a twist inspired by flavours and spices from around the world.
In creating the brand, we worked closely with the client to determine the proper positioning: we wanted to show that the product is healthy and high-quality, but that it is also a fun snack you can eat on the go. We chose kraft paper for the packaging and gave the logo an old-fashioned Americana look to suggest quality and craftsmanship, while using rough, fun illustrations to separate the brand from its more conventional competitors.
We designed the size and shape of the box so that it would fit comfortably in a person’s hand while walking and could be easily opened and re-closed.
The immediate reaction has been very strong: due to the quality of the product and the uniqueness of the design, the brothers were able to quickly sign with a major distributor, and the crackers can now be found in stores across Montreal.
