Yogourt drops for babies is an increasingly crowded market, but one which has, for the moment, a fairly low level of design. Freshspoon Inc., a new entry into the baby food market, approached the Small Monsters asking us to create packaging for their drops that would showcase the company's values: healthy products for babies that are fun to eat.
The product is aimed at parents shopping with young children, who may wish to buy something their children can eat easily while in the store.
To achieve this, we paired bold, simple type with a generous use of whitespace to make the package easily readable and understandable for harried shoppers. We coupled this with soft, clean colours, and photography that focusses attention on the fruit to catch eyes and entice appetites.
The name, Yoba, is short for ’Yogourt Balls‘, perhaps as if it had been said by a young child.
